Cosplays

I've been having fun trying out a new cosplay as the hat arrived in the post.

I really hope I can get some professional shots done soon.

My friend keeps asking me to do some but I don't think my costumes are quite up to scratch yet!

"I'm gonna be king of the pirates!"

OOTD Update

Since it's been so long since I last did a proper update, I've got a lot of time to make up for.
Here are some photos of some Outfits of the Day that I've really liked the last couple of weeks!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This outfit I was completely in love with. The dress and tights were both from EBay. The dress is just, possibly the coolest thing I own. Comic print! On its own its quite plain though so I added the tights and just straight away liked it. I hope its gets warmer here soon so I can wear it more!
I also like the you can actually see my Tales of Symphonia tattoo! As everything i normally wear covers it up!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This outfit I just kind of threw together as well. I saw the skirt in my wardrobe (H&M), had forgotten I had it, and paired it with this top (also H&M) that I wear all the time with jeans. I don't like having too much of my legs on show so I added some knee socks as I thought leggings would be too much black. I didnt get a chance to actually wear this outfit out as it wasn't warm enough but I'm glad I've experimented and found some outfits I can keep in mind for the future!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This dress is just the cutest thing in my wardrobe! £3 from EBay again. EBay is a god sent for people like me who don't have a whole lot of money. It fits perfectly and its the first strapless item I've ever worn and actually liked. Its got a built in petticoat so is nice and floaty. Again I havent had the chance to wear it outside yet as the weather is rubbish! But hopefully as it gets sunnier I'll get a chance to debut it!
Haul
My absolute HAUL from Expo!
I spent so much money its ridiculous. But I love every single item I brought and they are displayed proudly round my house. Except for the ones that come to bed with me....
My haul included -
- 1 Asuna body pillow
- 1 Cloud plushie
- 1 Natsu plushie
- 1 Beyond the Boundary Postcard
- 2 Sailor Moon postcards
- 5 Orginal art work postcards
- 1 large Asuna Figurine
- 1 small Nami figurine
- 1 small Blaziken figurine
- 1 large anime girl poster
- 1 Rin Okumara badge
- 1 Asuna poster
- 1 Kelly Jean signed print
Heres a close up of my Asuna figurine. I LOVE her. She takes prode of place in the middle of my figurine collection. She's so much bigger than anything else. I can't wait to go back in October and expand my collection.
Considering I thought everything was going to be really expensive, everything was really fairly priced, so well done Expo and thank you to all the stalls and their staff for making it such an enjoyable experience!
I love my plushies so much!
ComicCon London Expo Saturday May 25th 2014
Right!
I've FINALLY gotten around to writing my Blog post for Comic Con London 2014.
It was my first Expo ever, and I was super excited to meet Jessica Nigri, although literally 24 hours before Expo was meant to start her luggage got lost at LAX airport so she couldn't make it. She spoke to me on Twitter though! And followed me on Instagram!
SENPAI NOTICED ME
Anyway. It was a really early start on the Saturday morning, I got up at 4:30am so I could have a bath and wash hair. I then proceeded to do my make up, get my wig on, and get my outfit on. It then took us just over an hour and half to drive and park, which was really good time! And then the rain started. As you will see on my photos, the colour in my colour ran as I had only drawn it on, which really upset me. As we were there quite early it only took us about 30-40 minutes to get in.
And then.
I was in heaven!
My friends are more into comics, and I'm more into Anime, so every few minutes I was squaling because someone was in a costume I recognised. Someone was even dressed as Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia! I wish I'd had the guts to talk to him but I was so nervous.
We had a really good look round all the stalls, I spent waaay too much money! And it only took about 15 minutes to get food which I was surprised at.
The atmosphere and all the cosplayers and workers on the stalls are just amazing and fun and so nice!
Me and my friends are already planning to go back in October!
I had real trouble deciding who I wanted to Cosplay as -
It was a toss up between Ash Ketchum and Mirai Kuriyama.
Heres some photos of my cosplays -
In the end, I decided to go as Mirai! Because my friend had hand made the sword for me I thought it would be very ungrateful not to! Plus I think she's totally awesome and cute!
As you can see, my collar got pretty much ruined in the rain!
I was Mirai, my friend was old My Little Pony - Windy, and my other friend was Anna from Frozen!
THEN
I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly Jean! I made a sign for Jessica to show we all love her ;)
It was so awesome meeting Kelly Jean, her cosplays are brilliant and shes a stunning lady.
All in all it was a really good day. I think in the future I would maybe not go on a Saturday as by lunch time, it was so busy we could barely move. Even though it was said that this year was their busiest year ever!
For anyone wanting to go their first con, this really is a good place to go, just throw yourself in head first! Next time I'm going to try and not be so nervous to ask for photos - thats my goal for October!
